Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT)
COLT is facilitated by a professional speaker and is a phenomenal way to kick off the new school year and train your chapter officers. We offer two sessions of COLT at both Camp John Hope and the Georgia FFA-FCCLA Center to accommodate more chapters. Both sessions provide instruction and team time to prepare chapter FFA officers for their year of service. Teams are encouraged to set goals, gain ideas from other chapters, and work with their advisors to plan their Program of Activities. Participants discover their role as chapter leaders and learn the value of working as a team. The event provides an interactive learning environment for students throughout the state.

COLT is available at the FFA-FCCLA Camp in Covington and at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley In addition, members from the 2019-2020 State FFA Officer team will be at both locations. Teams will be encouraged to set goals, interact with other chapters to gain new ideas, and work with advisors to plan their Program of Activities. Officers will also be empowered to take on their role as chapter leaders and bond together as a team.  This summer, we are offering two, 3-day, “retreat style” COLT Conferences in July that are open to any chapter in the state.
