Floriculture & Nursery/ Landscape ID Contests
This is great practice for the area competitions. Students competing in the ID contests will have 30 mins to identify 25 plants and 5-10 tiebreakers. The 25 plants will come directly from the GA FFA Contest ID list. The tie-breakers will be equipment (Jr & Sr), disorders (Jr & Sr), and plants that also come directly from that event's identification list.
§ Jr and Sr Floriculture ID and Jr and Sr Nursery/ Landscape ID will be held on Tuesday, October 13th.
§ All ID events will take place inside the SUTHERLAND ARENA.
§ Each school may enter up to 10 students in Floriculture and up to 10 students in Nursery Landscape.
§ Teams will be made up of 5 students, with the top 4 scores counting towards the team score
o Example: A single school may enter 10 floriculture students—5 entries may be junior division, and 5 may be senior division, OR 10 junior division only OR 10 senior division only.
§ Competition times range from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm.
