Keynote Address

Sparked by the loss of his father in 2012, Alex Sheen created a movement to better humanity by not missing opportunities to help others.

Alex founded Because I Said I Would, and began sending promise cards to anyone who requested them at no cost. Today Because I Said I Would has sent more than 8 million promise cards to 150 countries around the world. Alex travels the world encouraging others to find ways to make a difference, make a commitment and follow through.

Alex Sheen is the convention kickoff speaker and will share the powerful message of Because I Said I Would at the opening session on Thursday, April 26, at 7:00 p.m. Learn more about Alex at

Friday Evening (7pm)
Keynote Address

Ian Bennett, a member of the Lowndes County FFA chapter, was elected at the 90th National Convention to serve as 2017-2018 National Southern Region Vice President. Ian served as an Area and State officer, competed in the Extemporaneous Speaking and Discussion Meet CDEs, and developed an SAE consisting of beef cattle production and agriscience fair research.

Ian is taking a one year leave of absence from the University of Georgia, where he is a junior majoring in an Agriscience and Environmental Systems, to travel more than 100,000 miles across the U.S. and Japan serving as ambassador for Agricultural Education and the FFA. Be sure to catch Ian’s message when he speaks at the fifth session at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27.

Community Service at 90th Georgia FFA Convention      
All chapters interested in participating in community service opportunities during the state convention must register. Activities will be conducted during the day on Thursday, April 26 in cooperation with the Rebuilding Macon organization. Activities will include painting, site clean-up, possible construction/repair opportunities, etc... Chapter's who would like to participate, please contact Mr. Kevin Jump.

Convention Career & Trade Show      
The Georgia FFA Association will host the 18th Annual Career & Trade Show during the Georgia FFA State Convention.  We are seeking a wide range of agricultural representatives to exhibit to over 5,000 students & advisors from across the state who will be attending the one-day show.  Last day for early registration is March 23rd.

Registration for the 90th Georgia FFA convention is now open! This link also includes information on Community Service, T-Shirts, TAG Workshop, Convention Entertainment & Food Drive. Registration for the 90th State FFA Convention is $250.00 per chapter. The online registration site closes at 11:59 p.m. April 1, 2018. Payment is due April 6, 2018.

Convention Concert      

 Frankie Ballard, an American country music singer-songwriter and guitarist will be performing at our concert sponsored by Georgia Farm Bureau on Friday, April 27th.  Tickets can be purchased through the registration website. Attendance to the concert is only for those registered to attend the 90th Georgia FFA Convention.

Convention Courtesy Corp      
With approximately 5,000 FFA members, advisors and guests, Courtesy Corps is an essential part of the smooth running of such a major event.  Please review the information on this link and register your chapter if you want to be a part of Courtesy Corps at State Convention. Teach Ag Georgia (TAG) Workshop      
Again this year we asking Ag Teachers to identify 1 or 2 students who are (or should be) seriously considering a career in Agricultural Education, and nominate those students for the TAG (Teach Ag Georgia) workshop at the State Convention. The workshop will be held on Friday, April 28, at 1:00 p.m. and is by invitation only. Only 50 seats are available, and seats are available on a first come, first served basis. There is no cost to attend the TAG workshop. You can nominate students through the online convention registration system.
